About Egypt Star Bakery

Egypt Star Bakery Allentown has been a landmark since the 1930’s. Since then, the local bakery has been family owned, employing neighbors and their family members for over eighty years. Sticking to tradition, the ovens we bake our bread in are brick ovens operated by gas, coal and oil; most of them have been in our bakery for more than 8 decades. We continue to strive to produce high quality, popular bakery items to please both the wonderful customers we’ve known for many years and those we add every day. From breads, rolls, and buns to danishes, cupcakes, cookies, and custom cakes, we have something for everyone and we love to try new things! Stop in any day of the week for a delicious, fresh, handcrafted treat.

My first time at Egypt Star and I lived in Allentown over 20 years. Heard so much and never had the opportunity to go until this morning. Talk about right place and right time. Kara is absolutely amazing! All the decorations you see she set up herself. Talk about taking pride in your work! Her customer service is A1! You know got the exclusive Kara donut box when it has the tab. If you haven't gone go! If you already gone go back! lol

Purchased a variety of all kinds of donuts and unfortunately, all were stale. We have been going to this bakery for over 30 years and this was the first time we literally had to throw all away. Very disappointing!

Dropped in from MA, was looking for a few baked goods. Bought a variety of pastry/cookies. Loved the food, great place to stop if in need of sweet treats. Price very reasonable for quality 😊

My mom ordered the cake and had no issues everyone was nice and when she communicated what she wanted they understood and gave it their best effort. The cake tasted absolutely delicious and I personally loved the cake design for my son’s 7th birthday! They did an amazing job with the cupcakes as well. I would recommend this bakery for anyone wanting a delicious sweet treat! -but not too sweet 😉
